One room.
One kiln.
Made by hand.

And a belief that the things we use every day deserve a little care.

A freshly wedged clay block on an ash board with a cutting wire

Clay.

A speckled stoneware body, chosen for its warmth and quiet strength. Every piece begins on the wheel, then rests until it is ready to be trimmed.

Glaze.

A small palette, mixed in the studio. Chalk lets the clay show through. Cobalt gathers in the throwing lines, making each surface a little different.

Kiln.

Two firings change everything. The first gives the clay its strength; the second melts the glaze. Then the slow wait for the kiln to cool.
